Course objectives
This course focuses on economic/financial law in Europe, the interaction between the EU and EFTA countries, and third countries such as Switzerland or the USA. The course is primarily aimed at one of the four central freedoms of the EU - Financial Services. Among other things, it deals with regulating and supervising the Financial market, especially in Europe. It also focuses on the banking union and its various pillars, which help to ensure financial market stability and the provision of financial services, particularly in the EU.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should be able to orient themselves in the area of financial services in the EU, how they are provided, and their possible interconnection with the free movement of capital.
