Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to obtain basic practical skills and orientation in use of various sources of legal information.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course, student is expected to be able to: - understand basic functions of legal information systems and describe any legal information systems through these functions
- find basic legal information on the Internet
- find acts other legal documents using ASPI, Codexis and Beck-online
- evaluate credibility and validity of retrieved legal information and properly cite retrieved documents
- solve basic legal problems using the legal information systems.

  • 5. Library resources and research.
  • 6. EUR-Lex.
  • Exercises: 1. Basic terms and concepts, structure of acts and sources of law.
  • 2. Online legal information systems.
  • 3. Legal research in ASPI.
  • 4. Legal research in Beck-online.
  • 5. Legal research in Codexis.
  • 6. Algorithmization of research and legal research outcomes.
