- Course objectives
- This subject intends to provide students with the survey and deeper understanding of enforcement and sanctions in public international law and EU law.
- Learning outcomes
- - Student will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of international and EU law, namely enforcement and sanctions. - student will be able to identify the controversial points regarding the above issues. - Student will be able to critically think on the above issues, with a partiular focus on the type of sanctions (state, international organizations, especially UN and EU) . . Student will understand wider legal background related to enforcement and sanctions, including the specificities of international and EU law.

- 1. Enforcement and Sanctions: General Introduction, Specificities of International Public Law and EU law 2. Peaceful Settlement of Disputes (ICJ: including proviional measures and advisory opinions) 3. Chapter VI. and VII. of the UN Charter 4. Use of Force (UN Charter, self-defence)
