Course objectives
The aim of the subject is the acquisition of the professional/legal language - Spanish. A prerequisite is the reading of Spanish specialist literature from the range of the studied scientific field in the range of at least 200 pages. The topic is related to the candidate's particular studied specialization. The doctoral student will be able to read a text fluently and with understanding, follow a spoken professional speech with understanding, and talk about issues related to the given field.
Learning outcomes
In the exam, the student proves that s/he is able to read a text fluently and with understanding, follow a spoken professional speech with understanding, and talk about questions related to the given field.

Teaching methods
Independent/individual study of professional-legal literature related to the topic of the doctoral thesis.
Assessment methods
The written part of the exam takes one of the following forms: - - - 1) the student submits an extended abstract on a professional topic appropriate to the genre (original text without citations) in the range of 500 to 800 words with the following structure: 1) topic, 2) current state and definition of its insufficiency, 3) methodology, 4) results, 5) discussion, 5) bibliography - 2) the student submits the thesis of his/her dissertation or its project (depending on the stage of study) - in the range of 1000 to 1500 words structure: 1) topic, definition of the problem addressed and basic concepts, 2) theoretical background, 3) summary of the state of knowledge/solution to date 4) methodology, 5) preliminary results, 6) expected or final results, 7) discussion, 8) bibliography. - 3) the student submits a professional article that he/she has written for publication in a professional journal - 4) the student submits a certificate that he/she has completed the Master's degree in the language - - The oral part of the examination takes one of the following forms: - 1) an interview with the examiner on a given professional topic - approx. 30 minutes - 2) the student presents a certificate/certificate of having presented a paper in the given language at an international conference - 3) the student presents a certificate at C1 level (in a general or professional language) - 4) the student presents a certificate of having completed a Master's degree in the given language.
