The prerequisite for Specific Language for Public Administration (German language)is the language competence at the intermediate level.

Course objectives
The course develops language skills, especially reading comprehension and writing. The students are expected to reach the language competence of B1+ level applied to specific and academic language. At the end of this course students will be able to understand simple texts on specific topics, distinguish between formal and informal letters and write a short formal letter.Students will sit a mock test as designed for the Impact project.

  • 1. Formal letter, job application 2. Public Offices I - using German at Public Offices, verification and translation of documents, fees 3. Public Offices II - residence permit, deadlines and validity, documents 4. Work permit - EU citizens, Foreign Nationals from Non-EU countries 5. Issuing of driving licences - forms and papers 6.The European Union - administrative formalities for EU citizens and non-EU citizens, sanctions
