- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to make familiar students with the basic approaches to private international law, as developed in both civil and common law. Another aim is to acquaint students with various techniques of regulation, which are used to regulate private international law at national and international, respectively. Union level.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student should be able: - to identify the basic approaches to private international law in the area of common law and civil law; - to identify the different technics to private international law; - to describe some modern approaches such as economic approaches, global governance etc.

- 1. Introduction. 2. The basic approaches and their development in civil law and in common law. 3. Universalistic trends and nationalization trends. 4. Different techniques of regulation of private international law. 5. Conclusion
