  • Předmět definuje normované pojmy z kategorie brýlové korekce, zabývá se jejich rozdělením, korekčními záměry a cíli. Obsahuje kapitoly s tématikou antomických, estetických a optických parametrů pro kompletování brýlí ze základních komponentů a jejich přizpůsobování ve vztahu k daným anatomickým i fyziognomickým proporcím budoucího uživatele. Zabývá se rovněž statikou brýlí, podmínkami pro zajištění přiměřené užitné pohody při jejich nošení a uplatňuje poznatky z oboru pružnosti a pevnosti na jejich koncepci.
