- The main objectives of the course are:
- acquiring theoretical knowledge about the importance of psychiatry in other medical and paramedical fields
- acquiring theoretical knowledge about major psychiatric disorders and psychoses
- acquiring theoretical knowledge about possible pharmacological and non-pharmacological procedures for the treatment of psychiatric disorders - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- understand the importance of psychiatry for other medical and non-medical fields
- describe and recognize symptoms of the most common psychiatric disorders and psychotic illnesses. - propose appropriate acute treatment to calm a restless patient
- propose appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment for the treatment of psychiatric disorders - Syllabus

The colloquium is a written test. This is a test with the choice of one correct answer. The test has 10 questions, the student must answer at least 6 questions correctly to pass the test. - Language of instruction

Teaching takes place in the autumn semester on Monday from 13.00 to 14.50 in the lecture hall of the Psychiatric Clinic of the University Hospital Brno, building G, 1st floor, Jihlavská 20, 625 00 Brno.
