Course objectives
The aim is to provide knowledge for the preparation of a general nurse for a highly specialized team. care and guidance to a comprehensive and versatile view of patient care in the operating theater or other workplace in connection with anesthesiology; To achieve the objective, emphasis will be placed on interdisciplinary cooperation on the one hand, and on the other hand preparation of independent highly specialized activities focusing on the ability to prioritize and evaluate critical situations; The purpose is to obtain specialized competence to perform specialized activities in the field of anesthesiology.
Learning outcomes
Student: - orientated in the field of anesthesiology; - Focuses on the differences of anesthesia in the different operating fields - to master the basic problems of anesthesia, - to explain the differences of anesthesia in the different operating fields
Syllabus
  • 1.The activity of nurse specialist in anesthesiology - concept of the field, organization of activities, basic notions, history, literature;  2. Fundamentals of pharmacology in anesthesiology - distribution, effects, preparation, storage of drugs;  3. General and local anesthesia - distribution, preparation, techniques, aids, complications (including CPR);  4. Pre-operative preparation of the patient (both planned and urgent) - pharmacological, basic, special, psychological;  5. Equipment and preparation of anesthesiological workplace, hygienic and antiepidemic regime at this workplace;  6. Providing breathing pathways during and after anesthesia (including tracheotomy);  7. Patient care in the operating room - assessment of the patient's condition, nursing diagnostics, monitoring, assisting doctors in anesthesia, keeping the documentation;  8. Patient care in anesthesia in traumatology and orthopedics;  9. Patient care in anesthesia in gynecology and obstetrics;  10. Patient care for anesthesia in abdominal surgery and urgent surgery; 11. Patient care for anesthesia in thoracic surgery, vascular surgery and cardiac surgery;  12. Care of a patient in anesthesia in neurosurgery;  13. Patient care during anesthesia in different age groups - children, seniors;  14. Patient care in anesthesia in otorhinolaryngology, stomatology and phthalm surgery;  15. Patient care for anesthesia in outpatient surgical procedures (including anesthesia examination methods);
