Course objectives
During this exercise the student discusses and consults the issues related to the preparation of the thesis. The aim of the diploma thesis is to demonstrate the students' ability to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies to the solution of specific problems of medical practice, to use knowledge from various subjects of study, to evaluate interrelationships, to orient themselves in the professional literature and to work creatively within the framework of solving the assigned topic. The student, in consultation with the thesis supervisor, determines the structure, timetable, methods of measurement and processing of the results of the selected thesis topic. The thesis is assessed by the supervisor and the opponent. The opponent, who is appointed by mutual agreement by the coordinator of the respective field, evaluates the thesis from the substantive, methodological and formal point of view. The student submits the diploma thesis in duplicate within a predetermined time limit of 80-100 pages. The defence of the thesis is a part of the state final examination.
