Course objectives
This subject is understood to be a combination of theory and practice. This subject concept results from the profile of a midwife. It is focused on implication, goals, basic concepts and principles of educational process allowance and principles of creation educational process presentation in a scope of midwifery. It is focused on specifics of educational process in health care provided to woman, child and the whole family in all evolutional periods. It is resource of student‘s personality forming for midwifery work. Suggested objectives: to provide basic information about educational implications and targets, to describe basic concepts, methods and process forms, to explain relationship and importance of education and education for midwifery profession, to provide scope for creation and presentation of educational project- educational plan Suggested attainments – students: - briefly define historical sources and characters of educational process; - to be familiarised with educational reality and process; - to define impact of this process, objectives and usage in midwifery; - to define subject of education and educator skills (included work with information) which are provided for outcome; - to explain principles of creating educational project and presentation of this project; - to create her/his own educational plan and to present it in lesson as well as in practice;
Syllabus
  • Subject of lectures: - historical sources and characters of educational process; - pedagogic as a science about education and how it is related to midwifery profession; - educational reality (basic concepts, relations and categories); - process of education (process, phases, targets, subject, elements, conditions, resources, forms and methods); - educational project – methodology (problem choosing and its meta-analysis, work with information sources, subject analysis, targets, structure, evaluation); - subject of education; - educator personality, characteristics and skills; - education provided by media; - communication in educational process (communication and presentation principles, active learning support and critical thinking;) - principles of creating recension of pedagogical publications;
