Course objectives
This course aims to equip students with the knowledge of contents, mission and basic methods of health economy as well as with the knowledge of measuring and evaluation of health condition of the population. By the end of this course students should be able to: define, calculate and interpret the basic indicators of effectiveness, efficiency, quality and utility of the system of health care and health insurance; on the basis of examples of identification and on the basis of dealing with health problems should have the basis of statistical, systemic and economic thinking in health care; the basis of methods of critical appraisal of health services system and consequent organizational measures.
