Course objectives
The aim of nursing practice is to gain advanced knowledge and skills in highly specialized nursing care for patients in connection with the performance of anesthesia and in patients with cardiovascular disease in life-threatening condition.
An integral part of the training in a specialized role in selected areas of health care and to obtain information about an establishment where such care is provided. Practice will take place at accredited: anesthetic departments, Cardiologic or cardiac work.
Syllabus
  • Skills: to provide highly specialized nursing care to patients in the preparation, during and immediately after completion of all the methods and techniques of general and local anesthesia, carry out surveillance and monitoring of physiological functions, evaluation of the status of the possible complications and emergencies and contribute to their solution; participate the maintenance of general and local anesthesia, prepare instruments, equipment and medicines to individual methods and techniques of general and local anesthesia monitor the functionality of special instrumentation and ensure its constant readiness; maintain documentation in connection with the performance of anesthesia, carry out surveillance and monitoring of physiological functions, evaluation of the status of the possible complications and emergencies and contribute to their solution; provide highly specialized nursing care to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic methods of the heart and blood circulation; identify complications and contribute to their solution; provide highly specialized nursing care for the child patient 10 years with life-threatening heart disease and blood circulation; perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation using the available technical equipment including atrial heart electrical discharge.
  • Activities: to conduct surveillance, monitoring and evaluation of informations vital signs, participate in evaluating the severity of the condition; participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of technical equipment including cardiac defibrillation electric shock, follow the special functionality of Anesthesiologists instrumentation and provide a constant readiness, contribute to the provision of high specialized nursing care of patients before, during and immediately after the completion of systemic and local anesthesia; prepare medicines and equipment to the various techniques of general and local anesthesia participate in the overall management of the techniques and local anesthesia; cooperate in the implementation of tracheal intubation; perform measurement and analysis of physiological processes using specialized instrumentation including the use of invasive methods, implement a comprehensive highly specialized nursing care focused on prevention of immobilization syndrome; contribute to the provision of highly specialized care to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic methods of the heart and blood circulation contribute to the provision highly specialized nursing care to patients before and after major surgery, transplantation, trauma, cardiac monitor functionality special instrumentation aa ensure constant readiness.
  • Performance and frequency (mandatory minimum range): Prepare the patient for general anesthesia in the operating room 5x; evaluation of data on the patient's condition during anesthesia 5x performance; care of the patient during anesthesia 3x performance; care of patients after general anesthesia in the operating room 5x; preparation anesthesia machine 5x, preparation of drugs for general anesthesia 5x; perform tracheal intubation (or the model) 5x; preparation aids and assistance with endobronchial intubation (or the model) 1; design airway laryngeal mask 2x, preparing the patient for local anesthesia 5x; assistance with local anesthesia (the operating room) 5x; leadership anesthesia documentation 3x; evaluating data on the patient's health conscious 3x; evaluation data on the health status of the patient is unconscious 3x; ensuring patient in critical condition (for adoption) 3x; design and evaluation of the ECG 5x, preparation and care of the patient to cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic methods 5x; care of patients after left-sided heart catheterization 2x, preparing equipment and assisting with the implementation of a temporary pacemaker 2x, preparing the patient for esophageal pacing 2x; patient preparation for cardioversion 3x; preparation aids and assistance for cardioversion 3 times; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (or the model) 5x; cardiac defibrillation electric shock (or 5x the model).
