Course objectives
The course is conceived as theoretical-practical. The aim is to acquaint students with involution changes, health condition and diseases in old age for the nursing care needs of seniors and changed by the illness. Emphasis is placed on the differences of individual needs of people in higher age groups and the way of satisfying them, including differences of multidisciplinary care for the elderly in outpatient and inpatient health services.
Syllabus
  • Nursing management of diseases of various body systems (4 hours)
  • specifics care of older people in hospital and pre-hospital emergency care (2 hours)
  • The most common acute conditions and their solution (4 hours).
