- Course objectives
- The aim is to educate the students in basic pathological and pathophysiological thinking in medicine. This is the only subject in the curriculum which deals the general as well as special aspects of causes and symptoms of diseases.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing this subject the students will be able:
to explain the basic images about onset and development of diseases from the point of view of pathology and pathophysiology
to explain the necessity of both static and dynamic evaluations of the patient clinical state. - Syllabus

- Pathology of stomach and intestine.
- Pathophysiology od endocrine system I.
- Pathology of liver; hepatitis, cirrhosis.

- The exam is oral. Students respond 4 questions selected by lot; 2 from pathology and 2 from pathophysiology, from general as well as of special pathology and pathophysiology. The lectured topics are parts of exam questions; therefore, the lecture attendance is extremely important because lectures are the only form of education of this sophisticated subject.
