Course objectives
The subjekt is compound as a theoretical-practical piece together with practices. The aim is to learn the students the basics in neurosurgery.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to describe and explain the causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of a patient with severe neurosurgical disease.
Syllabus
  • The overview of diagnoses in neuron te sice care. Informing the patient about his health condition. Regimen and positioning in neurointensive care. Laboratory investigation, CT, MRI, other diagnostics methods. Monitoringem in neurointensice care. GCS, EKG, BP, puls, body temperature, invasive monitoring - ICP, PtbO2, CPP, TCD. Specific care for TBI Specific care in cerebrovascular disease Specific care in neurooncology Specific care in spinal diseases Operative technique and perioperative monitoring Resuscitation and arteficial ventillation in neurointensive care Medication, nutrition and fluids in neurointensive care
