Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide the student with knowledge in the field of education and training of individuals and population groups in health and illness and to lead them to a versatile view of phenomena in relation to pedagogy, midwifery, medicine and psychology. Subsequently, to put the knowledge and skills thus acquired into practice in their clinical practice. Course objectives: - identify the roles of the educator; - identify the needs of educators in the educational process; - implement education in the care provided.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to: - define basic concepts - formulate educational goals (cognitive, affective, psychomotor) - describe individual methods, forms of education, didactic means, including their strengths and weaknesses - design and evaluate the educational process in relation to the age and individual peculiarities of the learners.
Syllabus
  • Terminology. Education in health care. Factors influencing education. Personality of the educator. Specifics of education with respect to age and specific needs of individuals. The process of education - assessment and evaluation of the educator, evaluation of educational needs. Designing education, educational goals, didactic principles, forms of education, educational methods. Drawing up educational plans. Implementation and evaluation of the educational process. Documentation of the educational process. Educational materials.
