Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint the student with the basic hematological complications of reproduction, pregnancy and childbirth, their prevention, diagnosis and therapy.
Learning outcomes
A graduate of the course will:
- understand the etiology of the most frequently occurring hematological diseases
- understand their impact on reproductive health and fertility
- know the risks of complications during pregnancy, during and after childbirth.
Syllabus
  • 1) Hematological malignancies and reproduction
  • 2) Immune cytopenia in pregnancy and childbirth
  • 3) Bleeding complications during pregnancy and childbirth
  • 4) Thrombotic complications in reproduction
  • 5) Congenital disorders of coagulation and reproduction
  • 6) Predisposition to hematological malignancies and reproduction
  • 7) Hemolytic disease of the newborn

Teaching methods
Lecture – theory and demonstration of individual topics on selected case studies.
