Course objectives
The aim of this course is to provide initial empirical orientation in the primary school to beginning students and to consolidate their professional motivation. Reflection of their experiences will contribute to their understanding of the topics in the related course Introduction to Pedagogy and Psychology.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to describe educational reality in various primary schools in their own words and use their notess from the observations and their reflection; the course also provides orientation in the basic terminology of pedagogy and psychology.
Syllabus
  • The course takes place in a block for one week at the beginning of the semester. The students will observe classes at various primary schools (state, private, alternative, special ...), one visit is realized in a kindergarten). In their portfolio, the students reflect the educational environment in the visited schools, the work of teachers and activities of pupils. Each visit is immediately reflected in the discussion with the teachers.
