Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
(1) interpret the findings in biology (to communicate scientific information to non-professionals);
(2) explain the principle on which two-stage wastewater treatment plant operates;
(3) to describe the brewing process;
(4) evaluate the utility of museum collections for teaching on elementary school;
(5) create a final report from each excursion
Syllabus
  • There are several types of activities change regularly:(1)Visit selected cultural institutions (MZM);(2)Visit the professional workplaces - ČOV; (3) brewery;(5) Excursions in Anthropos; (6) Preparation of final report from the individual excursions.

Teaching methods
In visited institutions - verbal methods (lecture, explanation, description) and a physical demonstration (observation). In a separate processing of the final report, work with literature.
Assessment methods
Assessment methods: written final report. Fulfilling requirements:
active participation in planned excursions;
submiting of notes from individual excursions;
creating of the final report. The final report within five parties must be processed according to the instructions of the department on the website .
