Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to distinguish between various approaches to history of mathematics.
Syllabus
  • Seminar losely complements lectures in history of mathematics. Reading will be assigned for each course. Topics will vary and will be adapted according to the interests of the students enrolled. Topics may include the following:: - biographies of famous mathematicians; - history of mathematics in mathematics teaching; - history of mathematics teaching; - mathematical societies; - foundations of mathematics.
