- A practical course in classroom techniques and procedures that are used in language teaching. Students will develop an active understanding of them through research, observation and practice.
- Syllabus
- The classroom, using the blackboard and overheads, teacher talking time, total physical response, eliciting, drilling, tape recorder, video, back chaining, choral drilling, the silent period, teacher expectation, role play, simulation, pair work, group work, dictogloss, concept checking questions, skimming and scanning, pronunciation, predicting difficulties, error analysis and correction, drama and song, deductive and inductive procedures, timelines, realia, translation, dictation, jazz chants, metalanguage, independence and autonomy.
