Course objectives
Normative Grammar I is an introduction to a full normative description of the English grammar. Emphasis is placed on observing the underlying principles that show English to be a language based on consistency rather than exceptions .The course Ia deals with the system of English verbs. It also provides students with basic terminology useful for their future linguistic studies.

Primary verbs and auxiliaries 6. Subjunctive 7. Passive voice and causative. Test 2 8. The semantics of a verb phrase - a review of tenses I 9. Progressive aspect 10. Perfect aspect 11. Expressing the future 12. Numerals. Test 3 13. Credit test
