Course objectives
The course is conceived as an introduction to the film and audiovisual culture and its relationship to educational sciences. The course emphasizes the importance of a non-prejudice approach, magnifying the aesthetic, social, historical and ideological context. Considering the film as a model to follow we will pay attention at a wide range of topics that cover the vibrant past, present and future of audiovisual culture. By focusing at the selected topics, a part of enthusiasm is considered to be a necessity. The whole body of the course will be accompanied by a series of partial screenings that will clarify the specific topics. Special attention will be given to the term of so-called "media educator" and to the all possible didactic tools and strategies in a day-to-day use.
