Course objectives
Students learn informations about communication of visually impaired, history of Braille and about teaching and training of Braille. They learn to read Braille and write it on a Braillewriter and with a stylus and slate.
Syllabus
  • 1. Communication of people with visual impairment. Speech disorders by visually impaired. 2. History and development of writing of blind persons 3. Braille, Czech Braille chart, Braille code, aids for learning and writing Braille, teaching Braille by children and adults 4. Writing on Braillwriter 5. Writing with a stylus and slate 6. Visual and tactual reading of Braille
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka probíhá formou praktického semináře, studenti se učí aktivní znalosti zápisu Braillova písma na Pichtově psacím stroji a Pražské tabulce a čtení bodového písma zrakem, jednoduchých slov i hmatem. Zápočet získán po prokázání aktivní znalosti psaní Braillova písma na Pichtově psacím stroji, jeho čtení zrakem a částečně i hmatem. Účast ve výuce je nutná.
