Course objectives
Students arrange their teaching practice individually at a secondary school. The secretary will provide you with a letter for the school director. It is not possible to recognize teaching practice at language schools or courses. Observations: at least 10 lessons. Teaching: 10 - 15 lessons. Apart from observing and teaching students should get acquainted with one study group more closely. Imagine that you are going to become their class teacher. Try to get to know as much about the learners as you can. Identify their strengths and weaknesses, perhaps their learning styles and strategies, their interests, the number of people with special needs, specific learning difficulties etc.
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Credit requirements: Students who arrange their TP in Brno: students invite their faculty teacher (Ms Hanušová) to observe a lesson or two. Students who will be teaching outside Brno: video two of your lessons and bring the recordings. All students have to be actively involved in the discussion forums in moodlinka during their TP (5 postings at least). Required materials: 10 lesson plans (written before the lessons!), can be typed or handwritten + handwritten comments added after the lessons. Report (500 - 1000 words) - expectations, impressions from the school, experience with Rámcový vzdělávací program and Školní vzdělávací program (ask the teachers at your school), what you learnt at the school. Deadline for all TP materials: October 30.
