Course objectives
Goal of the subject is acquiring and cavity of the basic knowledge about problematic of prehistory, general drifts of economical, social and cultural development and about sequential innovating of material culture of human throughout millenniums – from the origins until the Migration of nations. Explication is taking notice of chronological relationships, typical artifacts, and questions of every day life, funeral rite and important locations. There will be browse on methodological approaches of archeology, development of science in it, basic terminology and problematic of prehistoric technologies. Emphasis will be focus on practical knowledge of complicated problematic (terrain methods of archeology) with which can students closely familiarize in archeological research of the department in Znojmo – Hradiště. Form of the direct engagement of students to archeological research is giving new experience that can be used in their further practice. They can be useful for saving of the damaged relics of material culture in places where students will work as teachers. Seminars will be filled in with video recordings, visit of the exposition of prehistory in Moravian Land Museum in Brno and by reports about new publications in expert literature.

  • Introduction to anthropogenesis. Europe in the older Post-tertiary – Pleistocene. Life of the Paleolithic hunters in the world-known Moravian camps. The oldest art. Mesolithic age and Neolithic revolution. Eneolithic age. Older and middle Bronze Age. Younger and late Bronze Age. Hallstatt – older Iron Age. Celts and their civilization contribution. Romans and barbaric world. Migration of nations.

Závěrečné hodnocení proběhne nejprve formou písemného testu a po jeho úspěšném absolvování formou ústní zkoušky. Během semestru vypracují posluchači podle zadaných informací písemnou seminární práci o pravěkém nálezu / nálezová zpráva/
