Course objectives
Special Andragogy of Individuals with Intellectual Disability Main topics of the course can be summarized as follows: Definition of Mental retardation, etiology, classification of mental disabilities, diagnostics, mild, moderate, severe and profound mental retardation, education and upbringing of mentally disabled, system of schools, special educational centres, special metodologies, alternative forms of communication, pre-professional and professional work with mentally disabled, legislation, social care institutions, charity and non-state organizations. Metodology of teaching. The proces of teachig. Therapy. Mentally disabled, aetiology, classification of mentall disability, diagnostics, charakteristics of individual grades, education and upbringing of mentally disabled, system of schools, special educational centres, special metodologies, alternative forms of communication, pre-professional and professional work with mentally disabled, legislation, social care institutions, stacionary centres, charity and non-state organizations.
