Course objectives
Having met the requirements of the course Teaching Practice 1, students will be able to apply current theoretical didactic knowledge both in observations and in his own micro-teaching. They will be able to evaluate specific types of school situations and look for relevant solutions. They will be able to perform tasks connected to administrative aspects of schooling practice.
Syllabus
  • Students do their teacher training under the supervision of a mentor teacher at a chosen primary school, or in the lower classes of a grammar school. The teacher training represents eight observations, two teaching periods and learning about further teaching activities of a Czech language teacher (work in the school library, keeping pedagogical records, out-of-school activities, etc.).

Type of completion: credit. Credit requirements: a required number of teaching lessons and observations, evaluation report from the mentor teacher, pedagogical diary containing detailed notes taken during observations and student´s own lesson plans (including self-reflective comments) and information about trainee´s further activities carried out during the teacher training.
