Course objectives
The aim of the course lies primarily in enhancing students cultural and intercultural awareness. The importance of international understanding and intercultural communication within a classroom context is emphasized. With the help of relevant literature, students solve case studies involving culturally critical incidents ranging from an intercultural classroom setting to an overall management of diversity in education.
At the end of this course, students should be able to understand intercultural aspects of communication;
improve their communication strategies used in an intercultural setting;
apply various dimensions of culture in intercultural conflicts.

Seminar.
1. ACTIVE CLASS PARTICIPATION and 80% ATTENDANCE Be ready in class to respond to questions the teacher will ask on the corresponding study materials in all the topic 10 topics. You are strongly advised to print out the study materials. You should also bring copies of the materials to each of the classes - one copy per pair of students is enough.
2. SOLVE CULTURAL CRITICAL INCIDENTS IN TOPICS 9 AND 10 Will be specified in the first lesson.
