Course objectives
Practice and fixation of printing and writing form of Russian alphabet, pronunciation, and intonation. Improvement of reading and listening skills, and basic oral and written expression. Introduction to new lexical stock and basics of Russian grammar. Work with CDs and DVDs.

  • Introduction. 1.-10. lesson of textbook "Ruština nejen pro samouky". 1.-7. lesson basic writing and pronunciation course (reading and writing drill) 8. lesson: Introducing and meeting people. 9. lesson: How are you? 10. lesson: Making a phone call.

Teaching methods
Students work up homework and within an individual work they elaborate lexical excercises and essays during the study. Students work individually and they also cooperate in group projects. Materials for students will be located on information system from the beginning of semester. They continuously read Russian texts.
Assessment methods
Instruction - two-hour seminary; Successful graduation of the credit test (1.-10. lesson).
