Prerequisites
Lectures unified secondary knowledge of general biology, zoology, mycology, ecology and ethology of animals. Complement the theoretical foundation for the IVZ III and form the theoretical basis for practical exercises ZS1BP_ZBUC.

Course objectives
The aim of this elective subject is unification of basic knowledge about organic nature.
Students should be able to
- characterize certain groups od animals (Vertebrates - mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates) and fungi
- sort animals and fungi
- recognize model animals and fungi
- interpret function evolution of specific species
- describe adaptation of animals to their envirnment using model examples
