Course objectives
The objective of this subject is the increasing of knowledge of theoretical part of the subject based on the practical material(Lexicology I). The objective of this subject are basic aspect of the word, its function in the ambit of the language system, its status and functions in the particular language level.
Syllabus
  • In the ambit of the subject are given the following topics:
  • 1. Indo-European, East Slavic and Russian words.
  • 2. Words of foreign origin in the Russian language and their functions.
  • 3. Assuming of the words in the Czech and the Russian language in the comparative aspect.
  • 4. Russian word composition in the comparative aspect.

Seminar. Attendance 80% (two absences allowed).
Assessment methods
Students must continuous assessment and doing the required home assignments based on the learn theory and terminology.
