Course objectives

This course aims to introduce students to selected parts of discrete mathematics.

Learning outcomes

Student bude po absolvování předmětu znát a bude schopen aktivně v praxi využívat základní teoretické poznatky diskrétní matematiky: 1. Počet rozkladů množiny. Bellova a Stirlingova čísla. 2. Rozklady a kompozice přirozených čísel. 3. Rozdělování do přihrádek. 4. Bloková schémata. 5. Magické čtverce. 6. Latinské čtverce. 7. Konečné roviny.

• 1. Number of set partitions. Bell and Stirling numbers. 2. Partitions and compositions of natural numbers. 3. Pidgeonholes combinatorics. 4. Block schemes. 5. Magic squares. 6. Latin squares. 7. Finite planes..
