Course objectives
The aim of the course is to facilitate preparation for work practice. The students present their plans, reflect upon their abilities and knowledge they are going to utilize during their practice, express their expectations, discuss and get feedback (from lecturers and experienced professionals).
At the end of the course the student:
- is able to utilize theoretical knowledge in his/her practice, reflect upon his/her skills and competence;
- is able to analyze life situations of people with SEND and work related duties and responsibilities of helping professionals;
- are able to prepare activities for the particular target group.
Syllabus
  • preparation for work stay with regard to place, type of service and target group (discussion above cases, situations)
  • preparation of work plan and practical activities for the work stay (pair and group work)
  • presentation of work plans, discussion, input from professionals from practices
  • SWOT analysis of one’s skills and competence for practice
