Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with problems of development of speech therapy intervention in children with impaired speech development - specifics of impaired speech development as well as possibilities and procedures that can be used in children with this form of disrupted communication skills in orientation examination and subsequent development of communication skills.
Learning outcomes
After completing the subject, the student: - knows the speech ontogeny and in the categories of impaired speech development - knows how to assess the child's communication skills in all linguistic levels - is acquainted with the possibilities of complex development - knows the possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation.
Syllabus
  • Impaired speech development - course specifics, causes of impaired speech development.  Diagnostics of impaired speech development, interdisciplinary cooperation.  Ontogenesis of children's speech, psychomotor development.  Phonetic-phonological level of speech - specifics of difficulties in this area, possibilities of development.  Lexic-semantic level of speech - specifics of difficulties in this area, possibilities of development.  Morphological-syntactic level of speech - specifics of difficulties in this area, possibilities of development.  Pragmatic level of speech - specifics of difficulties in this area, possibilities of development.  Hearing perception - specificities of the difficulties in this area, possibilities of development.  Visual perception - specificities of the difficulties in this area, possibilities of development.  Motricity (fine, gross, graphomotorics) - specifics of the difficulties in this area, possibilities of development.  Case studies, discussions.
