Course objectives
After successful completion of the subject Economics in the Home and Business, the student will be:
- have a good idea of efficient household finances;
- to be able to explain basic types of savings and investment;
- have a good idea of efficient management of financial resources in the small business;
- they will be able to orient themselves in the financial market;
- will be able to act economically and in line with the sustainable development strategy;
Syllabus
  • 1. Building savings, loans, mortgages, taxes.
  • 2. House and apartment architecture - size and quality of the apartment, household equipment, size and use of rooms, lighting, heating system, electrical and gas appliances, furniture, interior design, economical use of inputs.
  • 3. Domestic accounting, system of management - budget, income, necessary releases, savings, cash and non-cash payments, investment opportunities, insurance, planning of activities, etc.
  • 4. Fundamentals of finance - key terms such as money, interest rate, financial market and risk.
