Course objectives
Students acquire strategies and activities for teaching correct pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. Students will familiarize with a number of methodical practices and strategies for listening and oral practice in teaching Russian. Students will be informed about specific activities for teaching Russian in pupils with specific educational needs. The student will be able to apply this knowledge in teaching Russian within his / her own short presentations in teaching. The students will discuss the problems of the current teacher's profession, the specific needs of the pupils. In group activity, students propose a methodological approach in specific cases solved by teachers.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in Russian language. In particular, she will be able to use and apply appropriate strategies, activities and methodological methods for teaching correct pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, listening and oral practice in Russian lessons. The student can also distinguish which methods are suitable for teaching pupils with specific needs and apply these methods in teaching.

  • 1.-2. Development of modern didactic directions, methods and didactic procedures
  • 3-4. Dramatic practices in Russian lessons.
  • 5-6. Testing, Working with Error, and Testing in Foreign Language Teaching.
  • 7-8. Self-assessment of pupil, student and teacher.
  • 9.-10. Teaching Russian for students with specific educational needs.
  • 11. Beginning Russian teacher in practice. Experience has its own pedagogical practice.
  • 12. Errors of a novice Russian teacher.
