Course objectives
The aim of the course is to expand knowledge and skills in the field of design and print production in the form of personal experience. Continuous development of creativity and the ability of creative expression, responsible work with assignments and the competence to conduct a dialogue about it.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to implement graphic designs based on assignments and practically concretize them in the form of printing technologies. It will actively collaborate and approach an individually determined topic, define keywords, obtain data, information and sources of inspiration. He will be able to communicate about the project and explain the content and creative mechanisms of his own work.
Syllabus
  • The subject Graphic Studio is focused on the development of design thinking based on one's own practical experience. The course expands skills and knowledge of technological procedures and processes in the field of graphic design and print production. An important aspect is group and individual assistant work within the faculty graphic study.
  • individual or team work on the graphic solution of specific assignments / orders (posters, covers, study materials, exhibition, scenography…)
  • communication with the client, transfer of information, work with the assignment - topic
  • DTP and prepress
  • material, printing and finishing work (types and weights of papers, foils, textile materials, printing and binding possibilities)
  • preparation of pdf and web portfolio, presentation (documentation of own work and its possibilities, collection and selection of data…)
