Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with kindergarten, to develop students' observation skills, to discuss and compare approaches to pre-school education in different countries.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student should be able to: understand and explain the system of preprimary education in Czech kindergartens; use information from observation and connect it with theory to get top view in theory of child, theory of enviornment, work of teacher; write the observation paper; interpret approach of communication between teacher and child.
Syllabus
  • Practical observation of the work of kindergarten’s teacher (communication with children, prepared environment, and organization of the educational activities) and the class life (rules, norms, traditions, rituals). 1.
