- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to obtain knowledge about the topic of electricity and magnetism. Emphasis is placed on the logical structure of the science disciplines and to acquire the knowledge and skills needed for teaching physics at the elementary school. For these reasons, it is present a large number of school experiments and emphasize the relevance of the theme to day life. At the end of the course the student will be able to apply: Trivia: Systematic review of knowledge with an understanding of the topic of electricity and magnetism with emphasis on applications in education. Skills: Description and explanation the essence of the natural phenomena and their technical applications. Knowledge of the school simple experiments and the physical nature of practical application, focusing particularly on safety and economical use of electrical equipment. Attitudes: To learn the value of scientific work.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to apply/know: Basic laws of the Electricity and Magnetism Identify electricity/magnetism principles involved in natural phenomena or technical applications Describe simple experiments and conections with practical applications Solve simple applied problems
