Course objectives
The aim of teaching is to give an idea of ​​the regional world as a functioning systemic regional unit with different dimensions and hierarchical evaluation based on natural and economic impacts and social data. Students have in regional geography these continents to manifest the art of stock information on partial information and factual localized information published in their context.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: - Explain the basic approaches to regionalization of the macro-region. - Use the information obtained from the SG and FG sub-subjects and explain their integrated impact on the region's characteristics.
Syllabus
  • 1. Approaches of regional geography to the definition of world macro-regions. Basic characteristics of the continent, relative, absolute position and regionalization of the continent. 2. Current topics on examples of model regions

Assessment methods
Active participation in lectures and presentation of a specific topic. Students should be able to present their knowledge of regions of the world as systems of regional units in various dimensions and hierarchical classification based on natural and relevant economic and social parameters. The student demonstrates the ability to compile partial component information and factual placed information and put it into context.
