- Course objectives
- Aims: the student will gain a comprehensive overview of biological topics (viruses, bacteria, cell, cell division, reproduction, botany, zoology, human biology, heredity), ecosystems and environmental topics. Skills: Be able to use basic information in practice Attitudes: Acquire the values of nature and life protection, respect for life
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course students should be able to:
(1) understand basic relations between animate and inanimate nature;
(2) acquire basic information about construction of plant and animal organisms, first at the cellular level, at the level of plant and animal tissues, and finally at the level of individual organs;
(3) explain the importance of the fundamental components of plant and animal bodies, metabolic courses, management and reproductive functions;
(4) understand the course of life events and function of major organ systems in the integration of all processes occurring in plant and animal organism;
(5) integrate biological knowledge from various areas for better understanding of the biological and ecological contexts; - Syllabus
