- Course objectives
- The goal of the course is to open a platform where reality rather than theory is debated, to identify scenarios which pose biggest challenges to the teacher and to seek solutions. It is also conceived as a space where concerns can be shared and community support found. The course contends that the teaching community should contribute to the individual teacher's wellbeing.
- Learning outcomes
- By the end of the course the student shall be able to:
- identify factors and scenarios that are likely to post a challenge to them, and address them meaningfully;
- to understand the importance of reflection and action in the process;
- to understand teaching and learning as an organic process;
- to understand the role of community and supervision;
- to embrace challenges as learning opportunities. - Syllabus
- BLOCK 1 1. Challenges in everyday teaching practice 2. Reality report: Practising teachers as guest speakers. INDEPENDENT ASYNCHRONOUS WORK 3. Identifying a pedagogical issue 4. Research on solutions (reading, interviews, observations) BLOCK 2 5. Sharing the outcomes.

- 100% attendance and active participation in both blocks; an issue-based and inquiry-based task and its presentation
