Prerequisites
Students will gain information about the specifics of working with students from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. They will deal with specific situations in school and with the possibilities of their solution. They will deal with various social pathologies that can have a negative impact on the school performance of pupils.

Course objectives
The course will deal with Romani pupils, pupils from families of migrant foreigners, pupils living in unstimulating environments, etc. It will include the study of the issue of taking cultural differences into account in working with pupils from different cultural backgrounds and its reflection in education. Students will study the topic of diversity in the school environment, the treatment of difference, in relation to the work of the teaching assistant, who is an important factor in inclusive processes.
Learning outcomes
An important part is the axiological dimension of pedagogical work.
Syllabus
  • Specifics of work with pupils from socio-culturally disadvantaged backgrounds 1. Pupils from socially disadvantaged backgrounds (Roma, members of various minorities, pupils from families affected by pathologies) 2. Social pathologies and their influence on pupils' school performance. 3. Basic knowledge of educational problem solving. 4. Possibilities of pedagogical work in the field of extracurricular education.
