Course objectives
The aim of the course is to improve students' language and communication skills. The student flawlessly uses the writing and printing form of Cyrillic, both in reading and in his own written expression, masters the rules of Russian spelling, reads with comprehension and understands the spoken word. The student communicates in various life situations, can lead a dialogue. The student masters basic and advanced vocabulary and understands the main phenomena of Russian grammar.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course a student is able to discuss topics within the subject areas; use the new vocabulary correctly and improved his written and spoken language.
Syllabus
  • 1. Profession. Conjugation of verbs for -овать, -евать. Conditional. Countries, nationalities, languages.
  • 2. School and education. Conjugation of verbs дать / давать and give / give with prefixes. Declension of pronouns.
  • 3. Health. Verb type принять/пить. The names of diseases.
  • 4. Health II. Inflection basic numerals 1-100.
  • 5. Hotel. Verb conjugation. Imperative. Declension of numerals сколько/много.
  • 6. Hotel II. Motion verbs. What is the date today?
  • 7. Internet. Declension of feminine noun.
  • 8. Internet II. Irregular verbs. Conditional sentences (если, если бы, когда) and sentences with the particle ли.
  • 9. Verb доволен чем. Irregular declination of nouns.
  • 10. Verb понять. Construction нужен / нужна / нужно / нужны.
  • 11. Regularity (По средам мы играем в футбол!). Weather.
  • 12. Revision lesson.

Teaching methods
Students work with-electronic materials and use electronic support study. Fulfil homework. Consultation.
Assessment methods
Completion of the course (exam) consists of two parts: 1) written part, 2) oral part. Written part - a written test of the material covered (success rate at 70%), then an oral part - an oral interview with the teacher on the topics covered.
The student will also prepare a glossary of the vocabulary expanding the vocabulary to the topics discussed / or to the topics that interest him (50 new terms).

Teacher's information
The teaching aids are the teacher's materials located in the Information System of Masaryk University. I recommend regular homework - regular reading and listening in Russian, watching the Russian-language Internet, independent preparation and homework. Consultations take place at the same time as the teaching of full-time students.
