- Course objectives
- The course expands knowledge and skills in art education with a focus on inclusive pedagogy, individualizing educational approaches, and working with diversity in a variety of social and educational contexts. It emphasises the promotion of pupils' creative self-fulfilment, the development of inclusion and the strengthening of class cohesion through art activities that promote communication, cooperation and mutual respect among pupils while contributing to a positive classroom climate. The goal of the course is to provide students with a space for personal experience of art activities in a group setting and to support their readiness to create a creative, safe and accepting environment in their future teaching practice. The course combines theoretical foundations with practical skills in art making, perception and sharing, with reflection on one's own experiences playing a significant role as a means to a deeper understanding of the needs of future learners.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - share their own artistic experiences in a learning group; - respond to the work of others in a form of respectful feedback that encourages open communication, fosters collaboration and contributes to the meaningful development of artistic ability and self-expression; - reflect on how these experiences contribute to the development of his/her pedagogical sensitivity to the individual needs of students, understanding of group dynamics, appreciation of the diversity of artistic expression, and ability to create a safe, supportive, and creative environment that is inclusive of the differences and needs of all group members.
