Prerequisites
NJ_C101 Practical German C1 && NJ_C102 Practical German C1+
Founded productive and receptive language skills are presupposed on the level stage C1 after the European reference framework. The final examination is oriented after the European reference framework and plans reaching receptive skills of the level C2, with the productive authority level stage C1. The European reference framework defines these two-level stages as follows:
C1: "Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices."
C2: "Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can summarise information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments, and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations."

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to improve communicative competence in productive language skills at level C1 and to develop receptive speaking skills to reach level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Cultural and intercultural competence is developed through the topics covered by the supplementary texts. A reflective and discursive approach to cultural content is adopted.

Teaching methods
Work with texts (reading, understanding, summarising, reproducing, writing), presentations, discussions, homework.
Assessment methods
Oral and written (hearing, listening, wirting) final exam and homeworks during the semester.
The following test formats serve as orientation for the final examination: Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung (ZMP/C1), TELC Zertifikat Deutsch C1, ÖSD-Oberstufe Deutsch/C1, ÖSD-Wirtschaftssprache Deutsch/C2, etc.
Internationally recognized certificates at level C2 can be recognized instead of the exam if the number of points received is derived from the diploma or the attachment to the diploma.
Náhradní absolvování
Students on a study abroad program will be allowed to fulfill the requirements (after agreement with the instructors at the beginning of each semester) through distance learning.

Support for learning and self-reflection takes place during lessons. Outside of class, students have the opportunity to contact their teachers at any time via email, MS Teams or the course discussion forum.

An international language certificate on C2 language proficiency is accepted in this course. Not older than 5 years.
