- Course objectives
- Students in this course will be explained the concepts of: Multilingualism and its types; The concept of multilingualism in terms of language policy and language education; The concept of multilingualism from the point of view of linguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics; Theories and hypotheses of first, second foreign language acquisition (concepts of Interimsprache, Interference, Translanguaging, etc.); The principles of didactics of multilingualism will be presented; Textbooks for the teaching of German as a second foreign language will be analysed from the point of view of promoting multilingualism
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, students will be able to understand and explain the relevant concepts of Multilingualism. They will be able to apply theoretical knowledge to learning activities.

- Multilingualism and translanguaging- a definition The concept of multilingualism in terms of language policy and language education The concept of multilingualism in terms of linguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics The principles of didactics of multilingualism The motivation for language learning Learning strategies, types of texts and place tasks in the concept of didactics of multilingualism. Analysis of textbooks for teaching German as a second foreign language Methods of teaching a second foreign language

- Support for learning and self-reflection for combined learners takes place during regular contact hours.
