Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to convey to students the principles of study work at the easel, to develop their observation and drawing skills; to learn the principles of compositional planning, blocking the whole, light modeling. By regularly drawing from a living model, the student develops a basic knowledge of plastic anatomy and acquires the skill and ability of generous drawing.
Learning outcomes
The student knows the principles of "work at the stand"; knows how to lay out a drawing in a format; in rough features, he can depict a live model by drawing on a larger format; can control the progress of work from units to details. The student can measure and correct the proportions of the human body and head by his own observation; he also manages to capture the dynamics of the attitude and the expression of the whole through his observation. He uses drawing or painting materials adequately and is not afraid to experiment with them for the sake of artistic expression.
